Jose is a young working-class man. Yet he finds himself buying a million dollar engagement ring from the town's finest jeweler. On leaving the store he is abducted and wakes up bound and gagged in a dark room. Next thing he knows, a cop interrogates him about money laundring, sticks a gun in his hands and makes Jose aim the gun at him. A SWAT team is on the way, but will they save Jose? And why is the cop wearing a velcroed shirt?

Alex ? un taxista finlandese che lavora a Berlino; ? sposato con Stella, affascinante ragazza napoletana, telefonista con padre a carico che vive con loro. Una sera, durante il turno di lavoro, porta due gangsters in giro per dei loschi affari, ma i due vengono uccisi da una banda rivale e, cos?, si ritrova con due cadaveri a bordo da far sparire. Corre tutta la notte in auto per sfuggire alla banda rivale, che vuole rientrare in possesso di una valigia piena di dollari lasciata sul sedile del taxi dai due passeggeri defunti. La mattina dopo, con l'aiuto del suocero e di altri amici, riesce a disfarsi dei corpi e a fuggire lontano con la famiglia e con i dollari.
