    Bill Sanderson is cool! I used to work for him at the Department of Energy. He was grumpy but gifted. He made a wisecrack once about engineers trying to draw cartoons, and cartoonists trying to design nuclear reactors.

    I hope he's still around. (Bill, if you read this, hello. Hope you're doing well. Grant.)

    Bill Sanderson is my dad. He's now living in Walla Walla; retired, carving extraordinary duck decoys, and creates an incredible cut-flower garden every spring/summer. Still grumpy, still gifted. I will pass on your kind thoughts.
