Gordon Downie has released two solo albums: 2001's "Coke Machine" and 2003's "Battle of the Nudes". Gord has also released a book of poetry called Coke Machine Glow.
The song 'Nautical Disaster' is based on the Allied raid on Dieppe, France, during WWII. Eighty-two percent of the raid were Canadian soldiers, and eighty percent of the Canadians died. If the raid had failed, D-Day might not have occured in 1944.
