Tina recieved a Lifetime Acievement Prize from MOBO (Music of Black Origin), in 1999, in London.

Tina joined the band Turner's Kings of Rhythm after she met Ike Turner in high school. She was performing and singing with the group.

Among Tina's fans we can count David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, and Mark Knopfler.

Many believed that after Tina broke with Ike, she will not return to the music scene. Tina proved otherwise, when she, with Roger Davies, her Australian manager, released her multi-platinum and Grammy-winning album in 1984, Private Dancer, with her biggest hits What's Love Got To Do With It?, and Better Be Good to Me.

Tina is very well remembered from the movie Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (Mad Max 3), where she had the role of Aunty Entity. She was also featured in the soundtrack with 2 songs: One of the Living, and We Don't Need Another Hero.

Tina was born in Nutbush, Tennessee, USA.

Tina was featured in the movie Brother Bear in 2003 with the song Great Spirits. The song was also held by Phil Collins, who wrote it.
