And there, almost involuntarily, I conceived the stories for both The Second Chronicles and The Last Chronicles.
I had no intention of pursuing either the characters or the setting further.
I may not yet be as old as dirt, but dirt and I are starting to have an awful lot in common.
I respect my limitations, but I don't use them as an excuse.
One perfectly valid reason is that I wanted to prove to my readers - and to myself - that I could write other types of stories, and write them well.
