On June 16, Seether's Lead Guitarist Pat Callahan left the band. The exact reason for Callahan's departure is unknown, but the band expressed their best wishes for Callahan in his future endeavors. Despite touring for the better part of four years as a four piece band and recording the majority of their material with two guitarists, the band has stated that they are planning to go "back to basics" and remain a three-piece unit, as they started out, for the forseeable future. Morgan has said the band's third studio album is still on schedule and currently set for a March 2007 release.
The band have also had their songs featured on the Freddy vs. Jason soundtrack and in the film Daredevil
Their song Fine Again also featured on the Nintendo GameCube video game, 1080° Avalanche and on Madden NFL 2003.
Amy Lee, lead singer of Evanescence confirmed recently on VH1's VSpot Top 20 Countdown that the Evanescence song Call Me When You're Sober was written mainly about Shaun Morgan. He and Amy Lee separated because of his never ending fight with substance abuse and alcohol. Shaun is reportedly not happy that Amy has brought this into the public.
The song Sold Me was used as the theme for WWE Bad Blood 2004.
