In 2004 he began a new tour with his original Midnight Express partner Dennis Condrey and they were managed briefly in 2005 by Terri Runnels (Terri Ann Boatwright) in SCW.

He wrestled with Sabu in ECW on 14 May 1994 at the “When Worlds Collide” pay-per view to beat Terry Funk & Arn Anderson. In 1995 he was back in WCW & joined “The Blue bloods” with ‘Lord’ Steve Regal & ‘Squire’ David Taylor.

In August Gibson & Morton won the belts back & The Midnight Express began a feud with The Road Warriors, Animal Joseph Laurinaitis & Hawk (Michael Hegstrand). In January 1997 Cornette fired Condrey & replaced him with ‘Sweet’ Stan Lane.

In December 1984 Cornette & The Midnight Express went to WCCW where in 1985 they beat The Fantastics who were Bobby Fulton (James Hines) & Tommy Rogers (Thomas Couch) to win the World Class Tag Team titles.

They also feuded with Magnum T.A. (Terry Wayne Allen) & Mr. Wrestling II (John Walker) who had the Mid-South World Tag Team Titles and in the spring of 1984 The Midnight Express won the titles from them.

Tojo Yamamoto (Harry Watanabe) trained Bobby to be a wrestler & he made his in-ring debut at the age of 17 in 1976 losing to Bearcat Wright in a local independent promotion.
