North
A New York advertising executive named Roger Thornhill is mistaken for George Kaplan, an imaginary agent the CIA invented in order to smoke out enemy spies, and is kidnapped by the enemy. He manages to escape, and fails to convince the police and his mother he had been kidnapped. He is then accused of killing a UN diplomat and escapes on a train headed for Chicago. On board, he meets Eve Kendall who works for the enemy. He is told he can meet the real Kaplan (a ploy by the enemy) in a cornfield in Illinois. There he is attacked by a crop-dusting biplane. He makes it back to Chicago and finds Eve and her spy-lover, Vandamm at an art auction. He escapes their clutches by getting arrested for disturbing the peace and is taken to the airport where the CIA project director explains what is going on; that is, that there is no spy named Kaplan and that Kendall is a double agent. Grant agrees to play out the role of the spy in order to protect Eve. What follows is in incredible chase scene across the Mount Rushmore monument.

Maverick
Maverick is recreated from the character James Garner created in the 1950s TV program. Maverick is a gambler who would rather con someone than fight them. He needs an additional three thousand dollars in order to enter a Winner Take All poker game that begins in a few days. He tries to win some, tries to collect a few debts, and recover a little loot for the reward, all with a light hearted air. He joins forces with a woman gambler with a marvelous, though fake, southern accent as the two both try and enter the game.

The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw
The Gambler Brady Hawkes is back and he's about to lose his primary means of livelihood, when a law banning gambling is about to be passed. But in honor of that there's going to be one last great poker game and all what one needs to join is one hundred thousand dollars. A madame named Burgundy Jones along with four other madames is willing to put up the money for Brady but first he has to compete against four other gamblers in the end it comes down to Brady and a man named Cantrell. Brady barely beats him. So he, and Burgundy, and an old friend of his, Ethan Cassidy sets for the game which is in San Francisco. But Cantrell's a sore loser and is following them hoping to get the money so that he can join the game. Also following them is a band of outlaws who were planning to steal the money but Brady left with it before they got there. And along the way they encounter and/or are aided by some famous individuals like Wyatt Earp, The Rifleman, Cheyenne Bodie, Diamond Jim Brady, Bat Masterson, Judge Roy Bean, and President Teddy Roosevelt. Brady is also feeling that he might not have what he has to win; it seems that some time ago in Europe he lost a big game to an Englishman, and by strange coincidence he is also at the game.

Tremors
Trying to escape their dead-end life in the desert town of Perfection, Nevada, Valentine "Val" McKee and Earl Bassett find themselves sidetracked when corpses mysteriously start piling up around them. When Val and Earl have a run-in with some creepy tentacled creatures that have made lunch out of a road crew, they retreat back to the town to spread the news. Although these monsters are not exactly intellectuals, their mental powers are still mind-boggling. Detecting a human hiding in a car, they dig under the vehicle, causing it to sink into the earth. Val and Earl get help from several townspeople, including gun-happy Burt Gummer and his wife Heather Gummer, and also store owner Walter Chang, fellow residents Melvin Plug, Nancy Sterngood, Nancy's daughter Mindy, their friends Miguel and Nestor, and visiting seismologist Rhonda LeBeck. With the help of Rhonda, Val and Earl kill one of the monsters. But there are three of them left, and they are each about 30 feet long. Walter starts calling the monsters graboids. When the survivors think they have outwitted the graboids by taking refuge atop the roofs of buildings, the graboids merely destroy the buildings' foundations, killing two people. The graboids are quick learners when it comes to stalking their prey, and the humans must continually be on their toes if they are to stay alive while they try to find a way to defeat the graboids.
