Pete: (during his London concert in January 2007) I'm never getting married. I don't believe in it. Kate and I are in love - I worship her - but we're not going down the aisle. I'm happy the way it is.
Pete: She was in a bit of a state and needed to know that I was OK. She managed to get a message to me saying how much she loves and cares for me. It really lifted my spirits while I was inside... Kate knows that I love the bones on her. She really is the most amazing person and her love means so much to me. When I was inside she was all I could think about. There was a point when we didn't talk, but as far as I'm concerned we never broke up. I just never accepted it was ever over between us and I don’t think she did either.

In May 2007, Pete was arrested on suspicion of possessing "Class A" banned drugs and held overnight in a cell.
In April 2007, toy makers, “Fishy Toyz”, released a Pete Doherty doll with a tiny crack-pipe that lights up when pressed to the mini-Pete's lips, outraging anti-drugs campaigners. The Doherty doll comes with a stash of other accessories such as cigarettes, a miniature guitar and syringe.
In March 2007, Pete admitted to the New York Daily News that he still smoked crack every day, despite vowing to kick his cocaine habit for girlfriend Kate Moss. In the interview, Pete said, "I always stumble back on it sooner or later, even if it's for half an hour a day." Pete then pulled out a crack pipe and lit up during the interview.

In July 2006, Pete told a British court that he is to have a surgical implant to help wean him off drugs. The implant will chemically inhibit the effects of opiates.
Pete was arrested in Sweden on June 17th 2006, after being carted off a plane on an alleged drug-fuelled high. He was pushed into a wheelchair and pushed from the plane before being taken into custody. A Customs spokesman said he was being questioned over drugs.
