Paul was the CCMA Male Vocalist of the Year in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2002. He has won it more than any artist, with his 5th win.
Paul got the CCMA Humanitarian Award in 1998.

Paul was named Billboard Magazine's 1996 best selling new male artist thanks to his first album called "Calm Before The Storm".
Paul and his wife Liz own a Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Sampson, a Chow/Sharpei cross named Bai Leigh, and a cat named Hank.

Paul: Growing up, I always wondered if it would be possible to leave home and do something with my life that I would really enjoy, a job that could also be fun and rewarding. Taking that leap and diving in blind was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but I'd say I've found that job.
