A couple of flop plays, a death in the family, and it could all collapse.

Patrick Marber has had many small comic roles in shows like The Day Today and Knowing Me Knowing You, but he is a very successful serious playwright. One of his plays was made into a rather good film called Closer, with some big name stars in it, like Julia Roberts,Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Clive Owen.
