This experience is going to be incredible." And that's just how it worked, everything seemed so easy and it just flowed. Believe me when I tell you it's not easy. Morena confirmed in an interview with About.com (6/16/05) that she is signed on for three Serenity movies, but said that she did not know whether or not the other two would be made.
The role of Inara on Firefly was originally given to Rebecca Gayheart. Morena had been asked to audition on the first call but had declined because she was in New York at the time. When she returned to Los Angeles her agent called to tell her the role was open again and she auditioned that same afternoon.
Morena's film Way Off Broadway, her first lead role, won the "Audience Choice Award" for "Best Feature" at the Stony Brook Film Festival in 2001.
