I walked down into the field and I saw the people and I stop and I just had to stared at them for a few. Because I've never cheered so I've never been on a field for that. (on her first acting class) Minka Kelly: The first acting class was very therapeutic. It’s a safe place to really express anything that you have in your imagination that you would want to express. When I grew up, it was hard to find something or someone that would allow me to express or release so many emotions. Going through acting classes lets you look at yourself and dig deep and come in touch with all your feelings and your emotions.

(on her relation with her father) Minka Kelly: I wanted to know who he was. He was in L.A. and he came out to New Mexico. When I was ready to get out of Albuquerque (after high school), he gave me an option to stay with him. I moved out to L.A. and stayed with him. He became my best friend. He’s taught me so much.
