Megan's stage debut was in 1988 in a production of The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds which also starred her mother Dawn and sister Samantha.
Her parents Ted Follows and Dawn Greenhalgh, both actors themselves, were part of the founding members of Canada's summer theatre culture.
She got her acting break on the hit television show, The Facts of Life in April 1982.
She is the youngest of three children.
Appeared in her first commercial at the age of 9.
Has two children, a daughter Lyla Ann and a son Russell.
Won two Gemini Awards (Canadian Emmys) for her role as Anne Shirley in Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel.
Megan performed in Fool For Love in 2005 season of in Toronto. The play was staged from Aug. 4 to Oct. 1
