Marisa: I grew up in a big Midwestern family of people with real normal jobs. The concept of not only watching movies but thinking you can be in them was very foreign. So, yeah, I did not know a soul when I moved out here. I certainly didn't know anyone in the business.
(about being difficult to find true love in Hollywood) Marisa: Yeah, I would say so. It's difficult at times to find normalcy, and I think it would be good to date someone who wasn't in the industry at all, though it's hard to meet people like that. If I go out, I go to dinner or parties with my friends. I don't really go to bars.
Marisa: Hollywood is full of men who need wraparound mirrors so that they never have a moment when they can’t check themselves out.
(on what she is looking for in a guy) Marisa: A fearlessly crazy sense of humor. I’m kind of goofy, and I need someone who has that, too. I’m looking for the inner freak in a guy.
(on how she got the part in the movie 'Freddy Got Fingered') Marisa: I was so aggressive in the audition that I was ripping [Tom’s] clothes off. I went further than any of the other girls who tried out.
(on the type of parts she plays) Marisa: I thought I’d be playing the girl next door. But, no matter how I look, the freak inside me leaks out. They make undergarments for that.
She is fluent in four foreign languagues, one of which is French.
Her first mainstream feature movie has the 1999 movie Teaching Mrs. Tingle where she played the character of Jo Lynn Jordan.
She has two dogs named Hall and Oates.
She is 5' 6" (1.68 m)
Marisa loves to bake and she makes a treat from an old Minnesotan family recipe called the "Bars", delicious seven layer treats.
Marisa is a accomplish archer. She won several prizes in high school. She still loves to shoot her bow and arrow out back on her ranch.
