Marcus: Our goal is more than a Division Championship. Our goal is more than a Division Championship. But this is a nice steppingstone.
Marcus (about playing in Madison Square Garden): I love playing in the Garden. This is the best arena in the world to play in. They have such loyal fans out there, and they gave me a great ovation when I came in. It's always good to see a lot of familiar faces. The ball boys, when I was here, were little kids. Now, they're grown up and married with children.
Marcus: Hopefully we can go out there and get home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs and take it from there. I think we have all of the pieces necessary. We're deep across the front line. We're definitely deep in the backcourt.
Marcus (about his teammate, Carmelo Anthony): It's been awesome. He's been pretty much carrying the whole organization on his back. He's doing a terrific job. He's been coming early, staying late, working on his game and that goes to show you how much he's maturing
Marcus (about trying to play injured): I was trying to persuade the doctor that I could keep playing with it. He was like, 'No.' I would risk further injury to myself and neither one of us would have wanted that. It's a frustrating time to miss. I'm just going to try to get back as quickly as I can.
Marcus: It's frustrating, especially when you don't accomplish your goals you set out at the top of the season. Guys have to hold themselves accountable. Management will have to do something this summer to bring in the right type of guys that want to play the right way.
