Mageina (about working on the film Bickford Schmeckler's Cool Ideas): I wanted to be a part of this project because the script was just wonderful. Funny and odd and great. And all the people working on it were so very rad.
Mageina: It’s been over a year since we filmed, but something that comes to mind was a bonding moment for us. We were filming in a real comic book shop, and it was about a hundred and thirty degrees in there with all the lights and everything. We were between takes and trying to take our minds off the heat when we found the comic book porn rack, yeah, so very disturbing and yet equally amusing.
Mageina: People should check this movie [Bickford Shmeckler] out because it’s chock-full of very funny, very cool actors and the story is just great. It’s one that I think people will be able to relate to, being lost in life and finding yourself. And man, this movie just has so very much charm.
Mageina: I make funny little monster and creature pillows, paintings and drawings.
Mageina: I’m learning French and trying to make it to dance classes.
Mageina: Scott [Lew, the director of Bickford Shmeckler] was awesome! He was fun and funny and great to work with. I loved that he made our little gaming crew real people, rather than the usual nerdy caricatures.
Mageina: I’ve been a vegetarian since I was nine years old and have been a supporter of animal rights ever since. I write and read whenever possible.
Mageina: I’ve been reading a lot of stuff on neurology and autism lately, I’m a big fan of Oliver Sacks. Oh, and I’ve just discovered rock climbing, very cool.
