Lauren: (about her character in "Mutant X") When I read the audition sides for Emma, I thought, ‘Cool! She's a sexy girl and an action chick that gets to kick some butt. I like that!'
Lauren: I learned that I'm stronger than I thought I was.
Lauren: I like to read and paint. And because the area around Vancouver is so beautiful, I hike and snowboard.
Lauren: I studied in Los Angeles for a couple of years and did Shakespeare. That was a lot of fun.
Lauren: I think the problem is sex and female sexuality. We're still not used to having control over our own sexual appetite, our own needs. People are uncomfortable talking about sex in general. I mean, more parents are more comfortable showing their kids brutal violence like the stuff in Sin City than they are talking about, or showing sex. I think that's totally wrong.
Lauren: The only place I really get recognized is at Ralphs. Whenever I'm in L.A., I go to Ralphs and for some reason, everyone there recognizes me. They're huge L Word fans.
Lauren was listed as one of the top 13 Canadian actresses in the October edition of enRoute (Air Canada) Magazine.
Lauren was noticed by a fashion scout when she was just 13 years old.
During her youth she traveled around the world with her family and has lived in Europe, Central America, The U.S. and Canada.
Lauren enjoys snowboarding, ice skating, rollerblading, basketball, swimming and horseback riding.
There was a big debate on wether or not Lauren would keep her blonde hair for Mutant X .
