Lauren: I don’t really have a talent- I can’t sing, or act, or dance, or perform- those talents. All I can do is be myself. When I first moved to Los Angeles to do The Hills, there were a lot of acting offers. But I had never really been interested in acting, although I did take a class to check it out. It was all right, but I just don’t think I could make a career out of something that I wasn’t really passionate about. Right now, I just want to enjoy this for as long as it lasts. I’d rather have a career based on something that makes me happy, and that has always been fashion.
Lauren: One time I was at an even with a friend of mine and we were walking through a crowd and saw Ashlee Simpson. She looked at me and said, ‘Hi, Lauren- I love your show and watch it all the time,’ and I was like Ashlee Simpson knows who I am!? I was a fan of hers and her show too! I’ll always remember that! I completely understand that doors have opened for me and that people know me just because of the show. I know that the show is at some point going to go away- and there’s a part of me that’s looking forward to that. But the only thing that is really going to go away is the opportunities I have. I’m still going to be in school and studying fashion. The one thing that I know for sure will be better when it’s all over is that dating will be a lot easier!
Lauren: I’ve had a couple of people betray me. I’m not a person who believes in holding grudges, but if one of my best friends did something really terrible to me, it would be very hard to ever really trust her again. What would stop her from doing something like that again? It’s not like that person just changes and suddenly becomes different.
Lauren: I’m just a normal girl who is comfortable with who she is. I don’t believe in changing yourself for anybody and I think it’s really important for girls to be as comfortable with themselves as possible. Sometimes I look at what really young girls wear and I can’t believe it- I have underwear that covers more than what some of them have on! I think it’s important that girls know they can be attractive and sexy in a classy way and that guys actually like that more than when they see girls who show a lot of skin. For me, I like clothes and I like to wear them to cover up.
Lauren: If kristin says she wants to leave one more time I swear I'm going to pick her up and physically remove her from the hotel!
Lauren: I'm a bad dater. I'm the most socially awkward person, like carrying on conversations and stuff.
Lauren: Boys are like purses. You're always gonna have that one boy that you're always comfortable with and you know you'll always kind of like. That's your purse that you wear everywhere. Then you have that gorgeous bag that you want everyone to see you with but the gorgeous bag is usually an a**hole or costs a lot of money. Then you have those other purses that you really like but you really don't want to be seen with.
Lauren: When I was six my neighbor taught me to paint and draw. We would sew and make clothes for my Barbie doll. Ever since then I've loved High Fashion and Designing.
Lauren: Shoes make me happy.
Lauren despises being called LC despite it being her nickname.
Lauren's first kiss was in 8th grade from a boy named Gary.
Lauren's favorite TV shows are Grey's Anatomy and Family Guy, her favorite movie is The Covenant, and her favorite color is black.
Lauren's favorite spots in Los Angeles are at Bella because she loves their spinach ravioli, at Blowfish because she likes their animal style roll and at Les Deux is because it is a great place to go out at night with friends.
Lauren got the part on Laguna Beach after MTV scouts set up a table at her high school quadrangle and asked students to fill out application packages to star in their new reality show and took Polaroids of applying students.
During the first season of Laguna Beach Lauren and Kristin were the only two that really didnt like each other.
Lauren and a few of her friends threw a Black and White party during their Senior year of high school.
Lauren doesn't own any closed-toe shoes.
