Katharine: I have some friends that made movies like that when they were eight, nine years old, and they got stressed out, their hair and eyelashes fell out and they had to go into therapy. Kids kind of know 'the movie' isn't real, but at the same time.
Katharine: At Shepherd Park is my favourite movie so far. It's funny, sad and dramatic.
Katharine: In both scenes he's [Al Pacino] screaming at me so I'm certain I won't have any problem working up the tears I'm supposed to.
Katharine: I never really planned it this way. I don't really even watch horror movies that much. In fact, I'm quite pathetic when watching one: the suspense kills me! I just have to watch through my fingers.
Katharine: I think I've done one or two movies in the past six years where they haven't tried something slimey to get me naked.
Katharine (about Freddy vs Jason): I hate to say it, but I was really expecting a little bit more. It's just the same old, same old. There's nothing to it - it's all about running around and screaming, 'No Freddy, don't!'
Katharine: All of our transport vehicles were minivans. When a white minivan pulled up, I just jumped in, they all screamed. I screamed and jumped out of the van and the mother tore off down the road. I guess I can put on my resume that I've traumatized children.
Katharine: It was exhausting because we were working 18 to 20 hour days, six days a week, and a lot of it outdoors.
Katharine: It's not very glamorous when it's three in the morning and you're soaking wet, covered in blood, and being dragged along the forest floor by your ankles by two grips running as fast as they can.
Katharine: I hate to say it, but I was really expecting a little bit more. It's just the same-old, same-old. There's nothing to it, it's all about running around and screaming, 'No, Freddy, don't!'
Katharine: It's a sleazy business. You're selling the idea of sex, not sex, but the idea of it. Not in Falling Angels, but in a lot of other things, I'm basically thinking: 'Yeah, I'm a high-class prostitute right now.' It's just the way they treat you, it's not even what you're doing.
Katharine: There's not been an ongoing aim in my career towards horror movies. It just came up. People are asking me if I wanna audition for, like, Halloween 8 (laughs). If you do one that's popular, everyone assumes that you wanna do a lot of them. It's kind of weird, and I'll try not to get stuck into that.
Katharine: I might have broken the stunt girl's nose by accident. I had this hood on, and it flipped over my head, and I cracked her in the nose with my elbow. I felt so bad. But it looked good.
Katharine: If I get nightmares it's stuff like the bubbles in the bathtub are getting too high and I'm panicking.
Katharine: I saw a UFO. I was in Alberta in the mountains and we were looking into the sky and there was this star that kept changing colors. And then it started just tripping out, going all over the sky really, really quickly in different colors. Then is disappeared. A few years later I met a friend of mine, and her mom had seen the exact same thing in Boston, on the same day, and had written it down in her journal.
Katharine had a body double for the shower scene in Freddy Vs. Jason.
Katharine is sister of actor Joshua Murray. Both acted together in The Last Winter, Cold Front and Knight Moves (produced by their dad Graeme Murray).
