Kate: You don't talk about pilots, it's like talking about pregnancies during the first trimester.
Katie: I went to a flea market on Melrose (Avenue, in LA) and I found this dress from the 80s. It had puffy black lace sleeves and it was tight and short and very 80s. I loved it. It was so retro, so funny and sexy. My Melbourne friends all really loved it. They were like, 'You're so funny'. But in Sydney it was like, 'We don't get what you're doing'. I thought, 'This is a rock'n'roll event, why not turn up like a rock star'. I stand by that dress.
Katie (on stargazing): No, I'm not particularly intrigued by celebrities per se. I think that's probably because I know the reality of the whole thing. I know being famous is what happens to you when you're good at this job. So it's a side effect. Not a reason why someone does their job. I think because I'm not really fascinated with celebrities is maybe why I'm a perfect fit for the show [Top 40 Celebrity Countdown].
