Kasey Kahne Quotes & Trivia

Quotes

Kasey: It was just a great race. Matt and Kevin were both very good all day.

Kasey: These are definitely the hardest cars I've driven -- ever.

Kasey: I feel like we had a great race car at the test. We have to keep making the right adjustments and I have to give the right information to (team director) Kenny Francis. If we do that, we have as good a shot to win out there as anybody.

Kasey: We had a good finish Sunday. We'll take it and go on to Las Vegas. We have more work to do with the Dodge Charger. We'll work on some more things on the car and try to make it more comfortable to drive.

Kasey: We're making progress and will continue to make it better.

Kasey: That's the best run we've had in a while for a complete race, counting the last half of last year. I feel pretty good about it. Carl (Edwards) passed me (for third) at the end, but that's racing. It was fun .

Kasey: I work great with those guys. They just throw things off each other. It's a great situation to be in.

Kasey: It's the way to go fast here. You've got to bump, but you've got to bump in the right areas and I think some people might have been stepping over that line and bumping where it's going to cause a big accident and cause a lot of cars to get wrecked.

Kasey: It was really a pathetic year. Some of the things I did — some of the crashes I was in — I didn't need to be in. I forced the issue.

Kasey: You can do all the tests you want at Kentucky and Nashville but when you get to Vegas then you know where you stand with the other cars. So, I figure I need to be there.

Kasey: He does a good job of not being a crew chief.

Kasey: I was happy when it was over. I'm usually not like that. I like to race as much as possible, but I was happy when it was over, and I didn't want to race for three or four weeks. I remember the year before, when the season was over, I still wanted to be racing and after a week I wanted to also. I'm ready to go again now, and I'm looking forward to it.

Kasey: It probably wasn't worth it. It made Kyle pretty mad and he made a lot of mistakes after that, so I think I got in his head. But it's never worth it to upset NASCAR by doing something you're not supposed to do on a caution.

Kasey: We tested up there Pocono last week and it went pretty good.

Kasey: I thought my first pole would be somewhere else. There are a lot of good drivers here this weekend -- 10 Winston Cup drivers and all the Busch regular drivers. To sit on the pole and be in front of the field Saturday is a big accomplishment for this team.

Kasey: It was a good lap, we ran about the same as we did in practice. We practiced a lot of race setups. I think we have a top-five race car.
