John : I think one of the coolest things about the job is the level of trust we have for each other. The actors fully trust that the writers will write amazing episodes, and the writers trust that the actors will follow their instincts with the characters. So we’re often asked our opinions on what we think of a joke or a moment. Is it funny? Is it believable? What do we think should happen? That’s a very rare environment for actors to be in. It’s great!
John Krasinski: (On being part of Shrek the Third) Well, it's a tiny little franchise that I think is really going to catch on. It's gonna be a big deal for DreamWorks. Seriously, it's a blast. As a kid I always wanted to be a cartoon more than anything else. And I got my chance.
John Krasinski: (on his favorite on and off screen moments) I’d have to say off the top of my head, my favorite on screen moments both happened in the ‘Booze Cruise’ episode. Shooting those scenes with Jenna and Steve was nothing short of an honor. I had such a blast working on such beautiful scenes with those two. Off screen, my favorite moments have definitely been just sitting around with the cast on the set. Man, it’s been such a blast to not only work with these people, but to be able to hang out and make up ridiculous bits and jokes? I mean, it’s the best!
John Krasinski: Being funny is one of my greatest strengths. I can make girls smile when they're down, and when they're having a good time, I can carry on the joke.
John Krasinski: It would be fun to walk next to David Blaine and whisper in his ear, "I'm invisible. What can you do?"
John Krasinski: My name was originally John Collins, but I just didn't think it had the flair I needed. I found out the poet laureate of Poland was named Krasinski and so it seemed like a shoe-in for show business.
John Krasinski: The perfect gadget would somehow allow me to fly. Isn’t that what everybody wants? It would also cook a damn good microwave pizza. So while in flight you had something to eat—an in-flight meal. Where would I go? Well, nowadays, it would probably just take me to work a lot quicker.
John Krasinski: It’s one of the things I really enjoy most. I have gotten into the whole computer thing with Mac—editing my own videos and photos and all that stuff. I’m a huge iPod guy. I’ve been writing on my computer a lot.
John Krasinski My favorite water cooler topic is fantasy football. I used to make fun of friends for doing it and now I'm obsessed.
John Krasinski: For a while we were all thinking about applying to a restaurant close to the studio, so that at a moment's notice we could go work over there. I remember thinking, We get a DVD of this, right? At least I can prove to my mom that it happened. Now people actually care about it.- on The Office
