Steve Martin's Best Show Ever
Steve Martin's fourth NBC special was in the spirit of his previous association with "Saturday Night Live". It was broadcast live from Studio 8H, produced by Lorne Michaels and featured some original cast members of the show. Sketches included: the Festrunk Brothers (Martin and Dan Aykroyd) in a womens' art gallery (with Larraine Newman, Lauren Hutton and John Belushi in drag); Martin as "The Elephant Guy" (with Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Lynn Redgrave); Irwin Mainway (Aykroyd) hosts a game show for stupid people (with Newman and Gregory Hines).

The Blues Brothers
After the release of Jake Blues from prison, he and brother Elwood go to visit the old home where they were raised by nuns. They learn the church stopped its support and will sell the place to the education authority, and the only way to keep the place open is if the $5000 tax on the property is paid within 11 days. The brothers want to help and decide to put their blues band back together and raise the the money by staging a big gig. As they set off on their "mission from god" they seem to make more enemies along the way. Will they manage to come up with the money in time?

Goin' South
Henry Moon is captured for a capital offense by a posse when his horse quits while trying to escape to Mexico. He finds that there is a post-Civil War law in the small town that any single or widowed woman can save him from the gallows by marrying him. Julia Tate needs a man to help her work her mine and marries him. The sheriff makes it very clear to Moon what the consequences of his leaving Julia will be. The two begin to try to form a relationship based on necessity in which they have nothing in common.

Animal House
Faber College has one frat house so disreputable it will take anyone. It has a second one full of white, anglo-saxon, rich young men who are so sanctimonious no one can stand them except Dean Wormer. The dean enlists the help of the second frat to get the boys of Delta House off campus. This film gives high-jinks and fooling around a bad name. P The dean's plan comes into play just before the homecoming parade to end all parades for all time.
