On November 23, 1976, Elvis Presley invited Jerry Lee Lewis to visit him at Graceland. However, Presley's security was unaware that Jerry Lee would be coming, and Lewis had a gun on his dashboard, given to him by a local sheriff. Security asked Lewis why he was carrying a gun with him, and Lewis jokingly replied "I'm not here to kill Elvis, if that's what you're worried about," however the guard was still suspicious. The sheriff who gave Lewis the gun cleared things up for them all.
