Policewoman Vicki leads a police action against drug dealer Salvador. Salvador gets away, but Vicki acquires his drugs worth $5 million. Due to the many police losses, she is taken of the case and replaced by her husband Al. Nevertheless, she continues to hunt Salvador down who is now making havoc to regain his drugs.

An honest expert on locks, Colley Dawson (Ray Milland) turns safecracker after he meets Benny Carfield (Barry Jones), unscrupulous dealer in antiques; Dawson steals the goods and Carfield disposes of them, and the resulting profits enable Dawson to lead a double life with small-part film actress Vi (Melissa Stribling.) Scotland Yard catches up with him and Dawson is sentenced to ten years in prison. Two years later, in 1940, England is at war with Germany, and the War Office, planning a raid on a German-occupied chateau in Belgium, is looking for a man who can crack a difficult safe so that the contents, containing lists of Nazi agents in Britain, can be photographed without leaving a trace of the operation. Dawson, in exchange for the eight years of prison awaiting him, agrees to do the job. He, of course, also gets involved with the daughter, Irene (Jeannette Sterke), of the local resistance leader.

The Pay Off
Krag Sabine (William Wright) has aroused the wrath of all the ranchers by stealing their land with the aid of his henchmen, led by Ace Barco (Wheeler Oakman); when Lafe Martin (Frank LaRue) objects, the outlaws shoot him down. Lucky Randall (Russell Hayden) promises Ann Martin (Ann Savage) he will avenge her wounded father. He sets up headquarters on the Martin ranch and sends for Bob Merritt (Bob Wills) and his men, the Texas Playboys (Jesse Ashlock, Leon McAuliffe, Cotton Thompson, Junior Barnard and Luke Wills). Krag organizes his remaining men for an attack on the ranch. Lucky's men get the upper hand but Krag escapes with Ann as his hostage.
