ICP released the EP, Tunnel of Love as a follow up to their 1995 Joker's Card album, Riddlebox. It was released a day after their contract with Jive expired and one day before they signed to Hollywood Records. The EP is 40 minutes in length and features what ICP classify to be "love songs". There is an even more rare "xxx" version in existence containing an extra track called "Mental Warp" with an explicit album cover depicting Shaggy 2 Dope exposing his genitals while being flanked by two porn stars. (Upon close inspection, it is fairly obvious that these are computer edited images).
ICP's Violent J and Shaggy both have solo albums to their credit. In 1994, Shaggy 2 Dope released the EP, F*ck Off!, and twelve years later, in 2006, released a follow-up full-length album, F*ck The F*ck Off, released as the more commercially accessible title, F.T.F.O.. In 2003, Violent J released the EP, Wizard of the Hood, a concept album loosely based upon the Wizard of Oz story, the title inspired by the song "Wizard of the Hood" from ICP's 1991 album, Carnival of Carnage.
(from the back of Shaggy's action figure blister card) Biggest Thrill in Life: Laying naked on top of my neighbor's roof really early in the morning. I like to pretend like I'm swimming underwater in slow motion and shit. I lay up there as long as I can or until the police come. What I Look For in a Girl: A hunchback. Like that one old movie "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", only it'd be a chick. I could sit on her hunch and maybe ride her through the mall. I could hook some kickers up to her butt and bounce that bitch. If her hump is big enough, maybe I could hide things in it, like a Faygo. That'd be the bomb diggity. If you got a hunchback and you're a chick, look me up. Shaggy's Dream is: To one day have everybody stand on one side of the world and flip it upside down.
ICP are available as playable characters in the Backyard Wrestling video game series.
ICP has a rare and early 1991 album titled, Dog Beats, recorded during their Inner City Posse days. Subsequent rereleases of the album have been edited to say Insane Clown Posse, although the approximately 150 remaining original copies printed with Inner City Posse are highly collectable. The song "Wizard of Del-ray" from the album was later re-recorded and released as "Wizard of the Hood" for the album, Carnival of Carnage.
ICP have been featured guests on both the radio show and the television version of The Howard Stern Show.
ICP appeared in a 2001 issue of Penthouse magazine, in a short article accompanied by a pictorial of the duo in full face paint posing with nude girls adorned in similar face paint.
ICP's latest signing to their Psychopathic Records label is the rapper, Boondox, a living scarecrow, whose album The Harvest was released in July 11, 2006.
Insane Clown Posse almost always professionally display themselves in full black and white "evil clown" makeup that could be compared to the corpse paint of black metal musicians or the makeup of the rock group KISS. Violent J's makeup is usually drawn as a smiling face, while Shaggy's is an angry face. The makeup pattern and colors usually follow a standard formula, although the duo have changed their look from time to time to relate better to certain album releases, most noticeably in 2002 for The Wraith: Shangri-La, when they became more spiritual and traded in the black face paint for gold and silver.
ICP starred in a self-produced low-budget parody movie entitled, Big Money Hu$tlas in 2000, which was directed by John Cafiero. The film is a send-up of numerous genres of films popular in the 1970's, from blaxploitation to crime drama. Both Violent J and Shaggy wore their signature face paint throughout the film. Shaggy 2 Dope plays Sugar Bear, a streetwise cop from San Francisco who speaks in rhyming couplets and whose name is always accompanied by a trumpet riff. The New York Chief of Police brings Sugar Bear to New York to take care of Big Baby Sweets (Violent J), a mob don who controls the entirety of the city's criminal underworld. With the "help" of bumbling patrolman Harry Cox (portrayed by actor, Harland Williams), as well as some timely assistance from the ghost of Dolemite (despite the fact that he was not even dead at the time) - Sugar Bear sets out to bring Sweets to justice. This task is made rather complicated by Sweets' entourage: his ineffectual right-hand men Big Stank and Lil Poot (labelmates, Jamie Madrox and Monoxide Child of Twiztid), his personal security ninja Hack Benjamin, a pair of stealthy Magic Ninjas, and Cactus Sac (wrestler Mick Foley). The film also sports numerous cameos from Psychopathic Records staff such as manager Alex Abbiss, Myzery, Billy Bill, and more. The film was made specifically for juggalos, but has also found an audience in fans of raunchy, offbeat comedy. A second installment, a prequel, named Big Money Rustlas, was never released, although cast shots from the movie can be revealed beneath the trays of the 2000 albums, Bizzar and Bizaar.
ICP have a documentary entitled, Shockumentary. An edited and slightly altered version aired on MTV and the original VHS release is hard-to-find. It is now available on DVD, much to the appreciation of fans, which in addition to the original content, also includes five music videos.
ICP are known for giving back to their fans during the key holidays of Halloween and Christmas. Since 1994, it has become an annual tradition for them to hold a special Halloween concert known as Hallowicked. With ICP's permission, the exclusive tracks are made available online to fan sites for free download the following day. Also every Christmas, ICP has a special song or exclusive available to be downloaded free at their official site.
Violent J and Shaggy formed Psychopathic Records with manager Alex Abbiss in 1991. Abbiss managed the group until June 2006, when he retired from the label. Bill "Billy Bill" Dail currently acts as ICP's manager, as well as president of Psychopathic Records.
In 2003, the book, "Behind The Paint" was published by Psychopathic Records. It archives the complete autobiography of the lives of the Insane Clown Posse, as toid by Violent J.
