Glynis Barber: I’m thrilled with the role I have on Emmerdale. It’s been 20 years since I last played a detective, although this one is the boss. She’s the head of her team, a strong, no-nonsense career woman. I shall thoroughly enjoy playing the part.
On 26 December 2996, Glynis appeared for the first time as DCI Grace Barraclough in the long-running UK soap Emmerdale.
In 2006, Glynis presented as well as produced a documentary for the UK-based charity Protimos.
Her son Alexander is named after her stepfather, whom she loved very much.
Glynis' most recent appearance on stage was in Terrence Rattigan's play Separate Tables.
