The Rock as a bounty hunter who attempts to square a debt by heading to the Amazon jungle to capture someone. The bounty hunter discovers that his quarry isn't the bad guy he'd been warned about, and the two team up in pursuit of riches stored in a mine in the Amazon.

A chance encounter with a blonde (Kelly Preston) in a sports car causes a man (Patrick Bergin) to give chase in his souped up mustang and culminates in a car crash and a sexual encounter. The blonde asks that he sign that the accident was really her husband's fault, who was not even present, for insurance issues. The sex-befuddled dummy agrees and finds himself the alibi for a murder and with his own past criminal record, he fears jail for lying under oath. Kevin Tighe appears as the rich husband, who obviously murdered his real wife. Matt Craven is an insurance investigator, who may have other hidden agendas. Jennifer Tilly is a video store owner, who sees through the whole affair and cares for the dumb lug, who can't keep himself out of trouble.
