Daphne had given up in appearing in a RENT movie in 1997 because she knew that she would look too old to play a 19 year old character. However, she was angry when she was the only Original Broadway Cast member not approached for the film (Original Joanne - Fredi Walker declined the part) and does not beleive the only reason they did not cast her was because she was pregnant (She had had her baby at the time shooting started).
