Out at Pacific Coast University, five students living in the same apartment building go through personal trials. Stacey was a famous volleyball player and fashion model once; now she's in semi-hiding, and someone from her past is stalking her. Serena, a pre-med student from East LA, is losing her scholarship because PCU is cutting back. Joe, fresh from the East Coast, is hiding something from his famous father, and Randy is searching for something to help him define himself apart from his rich dad. Polly just wants a roommate and a friend. Everything comes to a head during a charity volleyball game set up by Jake their landlord, who's a local restaurateur.

The Webbers
The Webbers are your average American family. So average, in fact that they are selected by a television station to be the stars of their own TV show "At Home with the Webbers". They are moved to a new house that has cameras and microphones installed in it, and paid to just live their lives as they usually would. Their activities are taped and broadcast to the eager public. Television is television, however, and it isn't long before the demands of the viewing public and their new lifestyle take their toll on the Webbers...

The handsome detective Joe Russo interrogates her repeatedly and they become friends. He invites her to help him with the investigation, what she happily accepts - too happily, says her husband.
