A gorgeous edition of this traditional Ashanti tale. The illustrations, as images of textured collage, paint a beautiful fantasy world, almost like stills from puppet theater.
I loved the possibilities for character work and set design this book inspired so much that my K-5th graders are performing it in a play version next month!
