Randy Owen, Jeff Cook, and Teddy Gentry are cousins. Mark Henderson wasn't the first drummer. Mark became the second drummer for the group Alabama. Mark Henderson started out playing piano for his church before he became a drummer for the group.
Before they became the group Alabama they went by another name and it was Wild Country.
